Independent Market Risk Consulting (IMRC) is a sole trader consulting firm. It offers expert advice, support and training across the full range of market risks in banking. This includes traded risk, interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB), credit spread risk and other risks to earnings or value.
Patrick Carey, has worked at all levels of market risk management from executive-level policy and governance to quantitative modelling and the hands-on management of complex market risks. He has also lectured in / trained on risk management.
A former Head of Market Risk for the Bank of Ireland Group up to December 2017, he was responsible for ensuring that the bank identified, measured, managed and controlled the full range of market risks - trading, IRRBB and structural - to which it was exposed.
